An Intro to the Evaluation of Public and Individual Schools

Public Schools vs. Private Schools

A large amount of controversy has been brought up over general public schooling versus private schooling. Many debate has been produced about advantages and disadvantages of general public and private schools. Nevertheless, the choice lies with the father and mother of school age kids. Many aspects should be reviewed before a decision could be made. These aspects include performance of both types of institution systems, religious background, proper financing, personal educational beliefs, and racial integration as well as numerous others.

public schools aren't effective in teaching college students necessary skills. Part of the belief stems from the actual fact that public schools have larger classrooms than private schools. Therefore, not as much student to teacher conversation is achieved. Some kids are simply miserable and struggling to learn in the large public schools we've created (Chenowith T08). However, studies have proven that it is private schools who've underqualified teachers and work with outdated materials. However, more teacher to college student interaction means a far more in-depth knowledge of material oftentimes. Currently no more than twelve percent of elementary and secondary school-age students are signed up for private schools (Haertel 1).

Religious preferences are also occasionally considered before school positioning is decided. Because public universities don't allow prayer, some parents opt to send their kids to private institutions which are sometimes founded by Christians and have even study surrounding religious history. This truth plays a major purpose in the lives of some family members. Often, this is actually the major reason kids are delivered to private schools.
