A Streetcar Named Desire

A Streetcar Named Desire is one of the most important plays with the twentieth century. This vintage play explains to the story of Blanche DuBois, a woman whom moves together with her sis after she loses her plantation, and depicts her tumultuous journey into lunacy. As the viewer comes after Blanche onto her journey two major themes are considerably explored; reliance on men and escapism. Through the course of the play these themes move the plot forward and drive Blanche's story.

In the course of A Streetcar Named Desire Blanche illustrates various types of dependence on males. The viewer first observes Blanche demonstrate this topic after it is discovered that her husband wiped out himself. The loss motivates Blanche to move into the Hotel Tarantula where your woman invites several men into her room to spend the night. Blanche feels that creating a man right away builds her sense of self really worth and provides her happiness.
